Legal

Terms and Conditions

These Terms govern your use of the consorata.ae website and the public-facing services accessible through it. They are a contract between you and Consorata Financial Services CO. L.L.C (“Consorata”, “we”, “us”). By using this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

1. Engagement letter precedence

These website Terms do not create a client-engagement relationship. Professional services from Consorata — accounting, audit, tax, advisory — are delivered only under a signed Engagement Letter that sets the scope, deliverables, fees, timeline, retention, confidentiality, and termination terms specific to that engagement. Where any Engagement Letter conflicts with these website Terms, the Engagement Letter prevails for that client.

2. Definitions

  • Company — Consorata Financial Services CO. L.L.C, registered office: Office 304-72, Parfait Business Center, Mohammed Bin Rashed Establishment for SME Development, Business Village, Port Saeed, Dubai, UAE, PO BOX 45195.
  • Service — the consorata.ae website, the news and insights surfaces, the booking flow, and any free or paid resource we make available through the site.
  • Engagement — a paid professional-services relationship governed by an Engagement Letter, separate from these website Terms.
  • You — an individual, or the legal entity you represent, accessing the Service.

3. License to use the website

Consorata grants you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to access and use consorata.ae and its content for your own personal or internal-business information purposes. You agree not to:

  • License, sell, rent, lease, redistribute, or commercially exploit the website or its content;
  • Modify, decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to derive the source of any part of the website;
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notice;
  • Use the website for any unlawful purpose or in violation of UAE law.

4. Professional standards

Consorata operates under the ethical and professional standards of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) as applicable to its FCCA principal, plus the applicable UAE professional registration regimes (auditor registration, FTA Tax Agent Approval where held, ESCA / SCA where applicable). Conflict-of-interest checks are run on every new engagement.

5. Information on this website is not advice

Content published on consorata.ae — including service descriptions, pricing examples, insights articles, news commentary, and FAQ entries — is published for general information only. It is not tax, legal, audit, or accounting advice, and does not create a client relationship. Tax and accounting positions are fact-specific; consult Consorata or another qualified practitioner before relying on any position published here for an actual decision.

6. Your suggestions

Any feedback, comments, ideas, or suggestions you provide to Consorata about the website (collectively, “Suggestions”) shall remain Consorata’s sole property. Consorata may use, copy, modify, publish, or redistribute Suggestions for any purpose without compensation or credit to you.

7. Intellectual property

The website and its content (including text, graphics, logos, images, audio, video, software, and the design and arrangement thereof) are owned by Consorata or its licensors and are protected by UAE and international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The material may not be copied, modified, reproduced, downloaded, or distributed in any way, in whole or in part, without Consorata’s prior written permission, except as expressly provided in these Terms.

8. Third-party services and links

consorata.ae may include or link to third-party content, applications, or services (“Third-Party Services”). Consorata is not responsible for Third-Party Services, including their accuracy, completeness, validity, copyright compliance, legality, or quality. Your use of any Third-Party Service is at your own risk and subject to that third party’s own terms.

9. No warranties

The website is provided to you “as is” and “as available”, with all faults and defects, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Consorata expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, and warranties arising from course of dealing or trade practice. Consorata makes no representation that the website will meet your requirements, achieve any intended results, operate without interruption, be error-free, or be free of viruses or other harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

Consorata’s total liability arising out of or relating to the website is limited to any amount you have actually paid for use of the website (typically zero, since the website itself is free). To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, Consorata is not liable for any special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages — including loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or loss of privacy — arising out of or related to your use or inability to use the website, even if Consorata has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Liability under an Engagement Letter is governed by that letter, not by these website Terms.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Consorata, its officers, employees, agents, partners, and licensors harmless from any claim or demand — including reasonable attorney’s fees — arising out of (a) your use of the website, (b) your violation of these Terms or any law or regulation, or (c) your violation of any right of a third party.

12. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, excluding conflict-of- laws rules.

Notice of dispute. In the event of a dispute, you must email Consorata at info@consorata.ae setting out your name, contact information, the facts giving rise to the dispute, and the relief requested. The parties shall attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith informal negotiation within 60 days of the notice.

Arbitration. If informal negotiation fails, the dispute shall be settled by binding arbitration in Dubai, UAE, in accordance with the arbitration rules of the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) under the UAE Federal Arbitration Law (Federal Law 6/2018). Either party may seek interim or preliminary injunctive relief from any court of competent jurisdiction to protect that party’s rights pending the completion of arbitration. The prevailing party shall be entitled to its reasonable legal and accounting fees and costs.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be changed and interpreted to accomplish its objective to the greatest extent possible under applicable law, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

14. Waiver

No failure or delay by either party in exercising any right under these Terms operates as a waiver of that right. No single or partial exercise of any right precludes further exercise of that or any other right.

15. Changes to these Terms

Consorata may modify these Terms at any time. If a change is material we will provide at least 30 days’ notice via the website before the new Terms take effect. By continuing to use the website after the effective date, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the website.

16. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the AML/CFT Policy, and any Engagement Letter, constitute the entire agreement between you and Consorata regarding the subject matter and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings.
