Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies consorata.ae sets, what they do, and how you can control them. It complements our Privacy Policy and the cookie banner you see on your first visit.
What is a cookie
A cookie is a small text file stored by your browser when you visit a website. Cookies let the site recognise your browser on subsequent requests — useful for remembering preferences, keeping you signed in, or measuring which pages are read. We also describe similar technologies here (local storage, session storage, pixel tags) under the “cookie” label for simplicity.
Categories we use
Essential
Required for the site to load and stay secure. These cannot be turned off and do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare | Bot management; tells humans from bots to keep the site available. | 30 minutes |
cf_clearance | Cloudflare | Confirms a successful security challenge so you don’t see it again on every page. | 30 days |
consorata_consent | Consorata | Records your choice from the cookie banner so we don’t ask again on every visit. | 365 days |
Analytics — off by default
Aggregate page-view data to help us understand which content is read and where visitors drop off. No advertising use. Set only after you accept the Analytics category in the cookie banner.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
_ym_uid, _ym_d, _ym_isad,
_ym_visorc_* | Yandex Metrica | Aggregate web analytics: unique-visitor identification, session timestamps, ad- blocker detection, optional Webvisor session replay. | up to 12 months |
| (no cookies set; uses session-only fingerprint) | Cloudflare Web Analytics | Lightweight pageview counters, served from a privacy-first beacon. No cross-site identifier. | session only |
Marketing — off by default
Used to measure the performance of our advertising and to show relevant Consorata ads to users who have visited our site (remarketing). Set only after you accept the Marketing category in the cookie banner.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
_gcl_au | Google Ads (Conversion Linker) | Stores the click ID for ad-conversion measurement. | 90 days |
IDE, test_cookie | Google DoubleClick (doubleclick.net) | Ad-targeting and conversion measurement; tests browser cookie support. | up to 13 months |
NID, __Secure-* | Google (google.com) | Ad personalisation across Google services for users with marketing consent. | up to 6 months |
Google Consent Mode v2
consorata.ae implements Google Consent Mode v2. When you arrive on the site, the default consent state is set to denied for analytics storage, ad storage, ad- user-data, and ad-personalisation. Google tags adjust their behaviour automatically based on this signal:
- If you reject all non-essential cookies: Google receives only cookieless “ping” signals for aggregate, anonymised conversion modelling. No personal-identifier cookie is set.
- If you accept Analytics only: Yandex Metrica + Cloudflare Web Analytics start, but Google Ads stays in cookieless mode.
- If you accept Marketing too: full Google Ads tags activate including remarketing.
Managing your choice
You can change your choice at any time by clicking the “Cookie preferences” link in the site footer. Your previous selection will be loaded so you can adjust the categories you allow.
You can also block cookies via your browser settings. Disabling Essential cookies may prevent the site from loading correctly. Disabling Analytics or Marketing cookies will not affect site functionality — only what data we receive.
Do Not Track
Browser-level “Do Not Track” signals are not consistently defined across browsers, so consorata.ae does not respond to them. Use the cookie banner instead to set your choice.

We will update this page when we add, remove, or change a cookie. The “Last updated” date below reflects the most recent change.
